Tuia Matauranga Roadshow

Date: 19th to 21st October 2019, 10am to 4pm
Venue: Northern Reclamation Area (by Marina)

As part of the Tuia Mātauranga Education Programme, the free roadshow will provide an interactive and immersive experience suitable for all ages. Visitors will take part in a journey of learning and storytelling that includes an activity book, mobile app-supported activities, and a virtual reality experience.

There will be activities that they can participate in, supporting a shared learning experience.
Participating in roadshow experience is free - we encourage parents and whānau to attend with children and young people, as well as members of the wider community.

The roadshow celebrates the expertise and knowledge of Pacific voyagers and navigators, and explores relationships between sea, land, and people. It also looks into the changes in these relationships following the arrival of Europeans, identifies the richness of diversity today, and invites participants to share their views on how our future might look.

Before you come you can download the Tuia Mātauranga mobile app - you can use this for the virtual and augmented reality experiences.
