Tuia 250 Art Exhibition

Date: 19th - 28th October 2019, 10am to 4pm 
Venue: Whitianga Art Centre and Gallery, School Rd, Whitianga 
 

Schools within the Coromandel area will select art works by their students to be displayed in a combined exhibition at the Whitianga Art Centre and Gallery. The exhibition will feature the combined talents of our community in the spirit of Te Powhiri, bringing together our members and young emerging artists to discover and tell their stories of navigation, first encounters, dual heritage and shared futures. 

There will be formal judging, with prizes and merit awards as well as peoples' choice awards for students in each age group This will be a combined exhibition open to all schools on the Coromandel Peninsula, and Whitianga Art Group members. Students may choose to offer their work for sale.  

The exhibition will be open every day from Saturday 19th until Monday 28th October.
